Megan Brashear, RVT

Purdue Univ. Veterinary Teaching Hospital / West Lafayette, IN

Megan Brashear, BS, RVT, VTS (ECC) graduated in 2000 with a BS in in Veterinary Technology. She has enjoyed working in emergency and critical care since 2000 and is currently the Small Animal Nursing Manager at the Purdue University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in West Lafayette, Indiana, where she oversees the technician supervisors as well as teaches and trains technicians and students on the hospital floor. She loves the opportunity to travel and lecture sharing her knowledge with veterinary technicians and nurses around the world.

Kelsey Beth Carpenter, RVT

Adobe Animal Hospital / Los Altos, CA

Kelsey Beth Carpenter is a Registered Veterinary Technician, social media manager, singer/songwriter, and content creator. She holds a degree from UCLA and currently works in the ER and ICU at a large, 24-hour practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. Kelsey writes articles and original songs about veterinary medicine and performs at assorted veterinary events. She is also the Social Media Manager for both DrAndyRoark.com and the Uncharted Veterinary Conferences. Kelsey is passionate about emergency medicine, video production, content creation, promoting the “Open Hospital” concept, and bringing humor to the veterinary community.

Beckie Mossor, RVT

Veterinary View Finder  /  Wilmington, NC

Beckie is a Registered Veterinary Technician living in Southport, NC. Beckie graduated from Central Carolina Community College in 2007 with her AAS in Veterinary Medical Technology and will graduate from the University of North Carolina Pembroke with her Bachelors in Non-Profit and Public Administration in 2019.

Beckie has enjoyed a diverse career in small animal, large animal, and mixed practices, academia, management and private consultant. Beckie is co-founder of Veterinary Advancements, a private consulting firm; volunteer Director of Operations 3K9 Working Dogs, a service, therapy and conservation dog training organization; and is a professional medical responder with the ASPCA Field Investigations Response Team.

In addition to Making Sense of Pets, Beckie hosts Clinician’s Brief the Podcast and is co-host of the podcasts Veterinary Viewfinder.

In support of her profession, Beckie is proud to serve as Member at Large for the Society for Veterinary Medical Ethics and former Executive Board Member for both the national and state tech associations.

Erin Robbins

Auburn University CVM  /  Auburn, AL

Erin S. Robbins was born and raised in St. Louis, MO.  She graduated from Jefferson College in Hillsboro, MO with an Associates of Applied Science Degree and veterinary technology in 1989.

After graduation she worked in several areas including private practice, research and a couple state diagnostic labs.  Erin currently is the lead technician in the equine section at Auburn University, College Veterinary Medicine.

Erin currently resided in Opelika, AL.  Her husband, Dale, is a cutting horse trainer.  We have a few animals; 5 barn cats, 6 dogs, cattle, horses and a buffalo.

Liza Rudolph, BAS, RVT, VTS (CP-CF, SAIM)

East Coast Veterinary Education /  Aberdeen, MD

Liza has been working as a veterinary technician for 20 years and is a graduate of the Bachelor’s program in Veterinary Technology at St. Petersburg College. She is a Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in Canine/Feline Clinical Practice and in Small Animal Internal Medicine. Liza provides education and training to veterinary technicians as a webinar instructor for Penn Foster, by traditional lecturing and online continuing education opportunities, and publishing informational articles. When not teaching, Liza is an active member of multiple veterinary organizations and practices as a relief veterinary technician; spending most of her clinical time in specialty practices in both the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions.
