The TVMF celebrates, embraces, and encourages the understanding of the special role animals play in our lives.

The Foundation provides financial support for projects such as education programs for the public and the veterinary community, wellness programs and assistance for the veterinary community, and the Tennessee Animal Hall of Fame which has recognized special pets and humans for more than 20 years. The Foundation assists the next generation of veterinarians through scholarships. The Foundation provides support for organizations that encourage the improvement of relationships between man and animals.

The Foundation has recently partnered with Therapy ARC, the largest certified pet therapy group in Middle Tennessee. The TVMF has donated funds that will go towards the training and certifying of assistance teams to help children improve their education skills.

The goal is to improve the literacy skills of children through the assistance of nationally registered & qualified therapy animal-owner/handler teams as literacy mentors who will to go into schools as reading companions for children.
